I’m just watching highlights from the last day of the Tour de France and looking forward to watching Mark Cavendish come down the Champs Elysees in first place. He became the first cyclist to ever win six stages in one tour – what a great achievement! Couple that with Bradley Wiggins finishing fourth overall and we have had a brilliantly successful tour.
We had success in the pool at the World Championships through Jo Jackson and Becky Adlington and with Lewis Hamilton claiming the top place on the podium in Hungary and we have had a great day for British sport.
